Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, families and educators through street information stands and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, eu news 24/7 described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
